About Our Institution
Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen started its first educational institute for boys in 1919 and thereafter it took more than fifty Years to open a degree college for them. On the other hand, when it started its first educational institute for girls in 1971, it took less than twenty-five years to open a separate degree college for them. Although, from 1983 itself girls joined the co-educational degree college of Anjuman, the evils of coeducation were not lost sight of by the management. It took another twelve years to establish a separate college for them, with only Arts faculty.
Anjuman College for Women, Bhatkal established in the year 1995 is now twenty-three years old. Instead of conventional optional subjects, its curriculum provides for Psychology and Education. These subjects will help the students to shape themselves in future. To walk shoulder to shoulder with the innovative knowledge of the competitive world.
The Government of Karnataka permitted introduction of Science faculty with (I) Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science and (II) Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, in this college in August 2004. This college was originally affiliated to Karnataka University, Dharwad and now it stands affiliated to Karnataka Women University, Vijayapura which is now known as Akkamahadevi Women’s University, Vijayapura.

Scholarship Facility
ACFW offers upto 100% concession in development fees to the students scoring 90% and above. Meritorious and economically deprived students will also be eligible for suitable scholarships.
ACFW also encourages and gives active help to its students to apply and process applications to various scholarship schemes of the Government and other agencies like Post Metric Scholarship, National Merit Scholarship , CV Raman Scholarship etc.

To accelerate ideas and progress, we have a rich library to enrich the knowledge of our students.
The library has 3553 number of books. 127 new editions, journals and magazines have been added in the current year.
